Herbs in Action
Gentian root: Gentiana lutea is a digestive bitter with cooling and drying properties. The root of the Gentian plant and less commonly the bark have a long history of use to support optimal digestion.
Fenugreek seed: Trigonella foenum-graecum supports a healthy inflammatory response in the digestive system and traditionally helps calm gas and digestive discomforts.
Oregon Grape Root: Mahonia spp. has an affinity for the liver and digestive system. Oregon grape root's bitterness supports healthy saliva and bile production and encourages healthy digestive enzyme function. This herb supports liver wellness and hormone balance.
Yarrow aerials: Achillea millefolium contains several flavonoids and alkaloids, which are plant compounds known to soothe digestive complaints.
Orange peel: Citrus sinensis plays a very important role in this powerful histamine-balancing formula. It directs the partnering herbs' movement by binding to bitter receptor points and moving herbs quickly around the body. The bitter compounds, like tannins and organic citric or malic acids move throughout our lymphatic systems, however they begin their work with the bitter signals in the mouth called 25 T2R receptors.
Hops strobiles: Being a bitter and tonic herb, Humulus lupulus helps to ease and stimulate the digestive system.
