Organic Seedling Mix - Seed Starting Soil

Light, fluffy seed starting mix that gives seeds what they actually need—room to germinate, gentle nutrition, and protection against damping off. Healthier seedlings with stronger roots that handle transplanting without freaking out.

Perfect Texture

Light and airy so delicate seedling roots can push through easily. Won't compact or crust over like heavy potting soil.

Stronger Root Systems

Seedlings develop extensive, healthy roots that make transplanting way less traumatic for both you and the plant.

Disease Protection

Beneficial microbes help prevent damping off—that heartbreaking fungal disease that kills seedlings overnight.

Gentle Nutrition

Just enough organic feeding to support growth without burning tender seedlings. Ancient Soil provides slow-release nutrients.

Quick Start Guide:

  1. Fill trays loosely with Seedling Mix (don't pack it down)
  2. Plant seeds according to packet directions, cover lightly with mix
  3. Label everything with seed type and date
  4. Mist until water drains or bottom-water until surface is moist
  5. Follow lighting requirements on seed packet

Start These Seeds Right:

  • Vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, etc.)
  • Herbs (basil, parsley, cilantro)
  • Annual flowers
  • Perennial flowers
  • Microgreens
  • Transplants for garden

Stop Losing Seedlings to Damping Off

Ingredients

Ancient Soil (Worm Castings)

Beneficial microbes protect against damping off
Gentle organic nutrition for early growth
Natural growth hormones support root development
Improves seedling vigor and transplant success
Class A certified worm castings
This is what sets the mix apart from basic seed starting mixes. Ancient Soil adds beneficial biology that protects vulnerable seedlings when they're most at risk. The microbes colonize around roots and crowd out the fungi that cause damping off. Plus the gentle nutrition from worm castings supports healthy growth without overwhelming delicate roots.
