Why a kitchen sponge?

We wanted one that actually worked: tough on messes, gentle on your dishes, and didn’t smell. We tried the eco options out there, but none held up. So we made our own.

HOW WE GOT HERE

It started with a sweater. We had designed a 100% merino wool knit sourced entirely within 250 miles of home, from a climate-beneficial farm to a local mill in Michigan.

Along the way, we discovered that when wool is felted, it becomes an incredible natural sponge.

As parents constantly cleaning up after a very busy little boy, we were looking for something that worked and felt good to use. No plastic. No smell. Just a simple solution that made our cleaning routine a little easier and a little better.

That’s how the wool sponge came to life.
